Accepting Salvation
Are You Ready?
- Life is fragile.
- Time is short.
- Eternity is real.
The Bible tells us that Jesus Christ is coming again — and that every person will one day stand before God.
“It is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment.” — Hebrews 9:27
The most important question is not:
- Are you successful?
- Are you religious?
- Are you a good person?
The question is this:
Are you ready to meet God?
Ready for What?
- Ready to stand before a holy God.
- Ready for the return of Jesus.
- Ready for eternity.
Jesus warned that His return would be sudden and unexpected.
“Be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” — Matthew 24:44
Being ready does not mean being perfect. It means being forgiven.
Why Most People Are Not Ready
Many people believe:
- “I’ll get serious about God later.”
- “I’m not that bad.”
- “I’ll fix myself first.”
- “I’m spiritual, not religious.”
But the Bible says:
“There is none righteous, no, not one.” — Romans 3:10
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” — Romans 3:23
- Good intentions cannot remove guilt.
- Good works cannot erase sin.
- Time cannot heal what only God can forgive.
What God Has Done for You
Jesus did not wait for you to clean yourself up.
He came to you.
Jesus lived a sinless life and died on the cross in your place.
“But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8
On the cross, Jesus took the punishment we deserve.
“He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree.” — 1 Peter 2:24
Three days later, He rose from the dead — proving sin and death were defeated.
“He is not here, for He has risen.” — Matthew 28:6
How to Be Ready
The Bible gives a simple, clear answer:
“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.” — Acts 16:31
To be ready, you must:
- Repent — turn from sin and self-rule
- Believe — trust Jesus alone to save you
Salvation is not earned. It is received.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith… not of works.” — Ephesians 2:8–9
Jesus Is Calling You
Jesus is not forcing you. He is inviting you.
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in.” — Revelation 3:20
Right now, this moment matters.
“Now is the day of salvation.” — 2 Corinthians 6:2
A Simple Prayer of Readiness
If you want to be ready — truly ready — you can pray from your heart:
“Lord Jesus,
I know I am a sinner and cannot save myself.
I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead.
I turn away from my old life and place my trust in You alone.
Forgive me, save me, and make me new.
I give my life to You and receive You as my Lord and Saviour. Amen.”
This confession has made you a new being in Christ.
"Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." - 2 Corinthians 5:17
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” — Romans 10:13
If You Prayed This
If you have placed your faith in Jesus:
- Your sins are forgiven
- You are a child of God
- You have eternal life
- You are ready
“There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” — Romans 8:1
Final Question
Jesus is coming again. Eternity is closer than you think.
Are you ready?
If not — you can be.
And if you are — live with hope, faith, and confidence.
“Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” — Revelation 22:20
