Accepting Jesus
Make This Confession;
“Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and cannot save myself.
I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead.
I turn away from my old life and place my trust in You alone.
Forgive me, save me, and make me new.
I surrender my life to You and accept You as my Lord and savior. Amen.”
If You Just Prayed
What Happens Now?
If you have just prayed and placed your trust in Jesus Christ, something real has happened — even if your emotions haven’t caught up yet.
Salvation is not based on feelings. It is based on God’s promise.
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” — Romans 10:13
First: Be Assured You Are Saved
If you have turned from sin and trusted Jesus alone to save you, the Bible says you belong to God now.
“To all who received Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.” — John 1:12
You are not on probation.
You are not waiting for approval.
You are forgiven and accepted.
“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” — Romans 8:1
You May Feel Different Or You May Not
Some people feel peace immediately.
Some feel relief.
Some feel nothing at all.
All of this is normal.
Your salvation does not depend on how you feel — it depends on what Jesus has done.
“We walk by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7
Feelings may come and go. God’s truth does not.
What God Has Done for You
Because of Jesus:
Your sins are forgiven
You are made new
You are reconciled to God
You have eternal life
“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17
“In Him we have redemption… the forgiveness of sins.” — Ephesians 1:7
Your past no longer defines you. God’s grace does.
God’s Spirit Is Now With You
When you believed, God gave you His Holy Spirit to guide and help you.
“You were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit.” — Ephesians 1:13
You are not alone in this new life. God Himself is with you.
What Should You Do Next?
Take this one step at a time. There is no rush.
1. Talk to God Daily
Prayer is simply conversation.
“Cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7
2. Start Reading the Bible
Begin with the Gospel of John. Read slowly.
“Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light unto my path.” — Psalm 119:105
3. Turn Away from Old Patterns
You will grow over time. When you stumble, turn back to God.
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us.” — 1 John 1:9
4. Connect with Other Believers
You were not meant to walk alone.
“Encourage one another… and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” — Hebrews 10:25
5. Get Baptized
Baptism is a public declaration of your new faith.
“We were buried therefore with Him by baptism… to walk in newness of life.” — Romans 6:4
When Doubts Come
Doubts don't cancel salvation. Struggles do not surprise God.
Your assurance rests on God’s Word, not your performance.
“I give them eternal life, and they will never perish.” — John 10:28
When doubts arise, return to what God has promised.
A Final Word of Encouragement
You are not saved because you hold tightly to God —You are saved because He holds tightly to you.
“He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion.” — Philippians 1:6
Welcome to your new life in Christ. Walk forward with humility, hope, and trust.
